Privacy policy

You cannot create an account on CustomSongReview, and the site never asks for your name, payment details, or the content of any song you order elsewhere. If you buy from a service we review, that transaction happens on their site under their privacy policy, not ours.

When analytics is enabled, the site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. Google sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, how you arrived, and which outbound links you click. We use this in aggregate to see which reviews people read and which links they follow. We do not combine it with any other data about you, because we have none.

If the analytics container is not configured, none of these scripts load and no analytics cookies are set.

The hosting provider that serves this site keeps standard request logs. Those logs typically include the requested URL, timestamp, IP address, and browser user agent. They are used for security, debugging, and capacity planning, and are kept for as long as the provider's default retention allows.

Some outbound links to the services we review are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination site may set its own cookie so it can pay us a commission if you buy. This does not change the price you pay, and the destination handles that cookie under its own policy.

Links to FreeCustomSong on this site are sponsored house ads and carry UTM parameters in the URL. Those parameters tell FreeCustomSong which page and placement you came from. They identify the page, not you.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party scripts entirely. Google also offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from receiving data, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also open any outbound link and strip the tracking parameters from the address before visiting.

Analytics data is retained for the default period set in Google Analytics 4, which is currently 14 months for event-level data. Server logs are kept according to the hosting provider's default retention. We do not maintain a separate copy of either.

If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes, such as adding a new analytics provider or introducing accounts, will be noted here rather than made quietly.
